Love Story: Kendra & Zack

“Do not fall in love, darling. Rise in love.” -The Dreamer

They planned their February wedding around visions of snowflakes and woods crisp with snow fall. However, Mother Nature gave Kendra & Zack a balmy, mild, gently sunny winter day. The kind of winter day in which the sun’s light is golden from sunrise to sunset, and beckons you to be outside and discover the winter landscape. It was the perfect kind of day to be in the heart of Brown County State Park and to be married in the stone amphitheater tucked away amid towering trees.

And that’s exactly what happened. They exchanged vows and tied a unity knot with the trees and the sun and their guests as witnesses. While their guest drank hot chocolate and relaxed in the Abe Martin lodge, we stayed in the woods for the loveliest of portraits until the sun began to set. Kendra was true beauty. Zack’s beard was magnificent. They celebrated and dined and held each other and their loved ones, inside the cozy, stone & wood hall, a brilliant refuge in the velvety winter night.

Kendra & Zack, may you rise in love. May you grow in strength, wholeness, and holiness. May you rest in the love of your Creator.
