I am Sarah. A storyteller, bookworm, traveler, Hoosier, wife, and mother to our two sweet girls.

Wandering Heart was birthed 12 years ago. For many years, my husband, Frank, and I loved being a husband and wife photo team, and we photographed hundreds of weddings together. It was a joyful adventure.

In fall of 2023, we decided to shift our photography focus and business model. In order to have a better work/life balance as we also parent are 2 young daughters, Wandering Heart is no longer offering full day, 2-photographer wedding coverage.

Instead, I am focusing on couples wanting a less traditional wedding day. I love working with couples who still want incredible portraits and key moments photographed, and am a great fit for couples only needing a few hours (between 2-6 hours) of wedding day coverage

I also love to tell the ongoing story of life, the stories of having children and growing into families. Something so sacred, fleeting, beautiful, & ever-changing. I love to capture the moments & details & faces & goodness & fullness & snapshots of what is it to be family.
