Wandering Heart in Cambodia

“I hope you will go out and let stories happen to you, and that you will work them, that you will water them with your blood and tears and your laughter ’til they bloom, ’til you yourself burst into bloom.”  -Clarissa Pinkola Estes

I pursued a dream, reader. I write to you from Sihanoukville, Cambodia.

I pursued love. I am in Cambodia working as a photographer with an NGO that runs a day center for children that live in the slums- children that are breathtakingly brilliant, resilient, and vibrant.

I pursued story. I am here capturing the stories of children in poverty and the Cambodian culture. Indirectly, I am living out my own story and witnessing the storyline of a God that is present and active.

Below are a few snapshots of the indescribable beauty of this place and of the Khmer people. I am overwhelmed with joy at the story I am apart of here. I suppose I have burst into bloom.

When I return home in May, I will begin sharing the stories of people I have met, children I have loved, and places I have gone. In the meantime, please let me know if you would like to receive my bi-weekly email updates.

[**A special note to potential clients and those seeking info about wedding and portrait photography. I am still booking weddings for the 2015 season, and am booking and scheduling family/newborn/senior/maternity portrait sessions!!! I can be reached through email at wanderingheartphoto@gmail.com. I will return home mid-May.]
